These exercises are presented as suggestions for senior adults to include in any home exercise programme. Do not attempt these exercises if you have been informed by your GP of any restrictions to exercise.
Always warm up before commencing these exercises.
Do the exercises slowly and carefully, do not undertake any exercise which you feel too uncomfortable with.
Make sure you have something close to you which you can use to steady yourself.
Progress Slowly:
If any of these movements are new to you - take it slowly and only do an amount you are comfortable with.
When you know what that is you can begin to improve - but slowly. If you increase the number of repetitions you do by one each week you can be sure to improve and know you are unlikely to cause an injury.
